The Dragonfish's unique tilt rotor design simplifies operation and maximizes performance and efficiency. With no complicated moving parts, the Dragonfish is modular, waterproof, smart and reliable. The Dragonfish is mission ready right out of the box and includes powerful AI tracking capabilities and a multitude of modular payload options. The entire system can be assembled without tools and is ready to fly in less than 5 minutes. It can be easily disassembled by a one-man team and will fit in the back of a typical car trunk. An endurance of 120 mins (including payload) further augments the Dragonfish's robust mission capabilities and pushes it significantly ahead against other VTOL competition.

Redundancy with Safety in Mind

Flight Control System:  Autel Robotics' superior flight control platform guarantees
stability and reliability in every flight.

Automatic Mode Switch:  Dragonfish will automatically transition to multi-rotor mode if fixed-winged mode becomes unstable. The Dragonfish can automatically choose which mode to fly for the best performance

Weather-Resistant:  IP43. Rugged construction featuring a carbon-fiber core and fiber-glass composite outer shell provides additional rigidity and durability.

Internal Communication:  Dual-redundant CAN bus communication protects the aircraft from electromagnetic interference and enables the rudder surface and motor status to be monitored in real time.

Attentive AI:  Vigilant AI continuously self-checks the system to prevent accidents or
faults before they occur.

Backup Modules:  The aircraft’s battery, barometer, positioning system, compass, and
IMU all have backup modules to ensure flight safety.

Terrain Follow:  The aircraft’s altitude will adjust based on natural terrain & obstacles. Manually adjust safe altitude tolerance as well.

Self Geofencing:  Create your own no-fly zones and safe fly zones near restricted airspace. 

ADS-B:  With ADS-B receiving, detect the presence of any manned aircraft nearby to avoid mid-air collisions and ensure a safe flight.

Safety Mechanisms

  • GPS Loss Protection:  If GPS signal is lost, the aircraft will automatically land at its current location.
  • Low Battery Protection:  When the aircraft's battery reaches a set threshold, the pilot will receive a low battery warning, and the aircraft will return home automatically. Once the battery level has reached 15%, the pilot will receive a critical power warning, and the aircraft will automatically land on the spot.
  • Lost Signal Protection:  If communication between the aircraft and the ground station is interrupted, the aircraft will use its GPS signal to return home automatically.

    Autel Voyager

    Autel Voyager is specifically designed for the Dragonfish for industry specific applications. The software provides advanced mission planning, intelligent tracking, flight history tracking, and other autonomous features. Simple to use yet incredibly powerful, Autel Voyager is the one stop solution for every mission.

    9.7"1000NIT Ultra-Bright Autel Ground Control Station

    The high resolution (2048x1536), 9.7 inches, ultra-bright (1000 nits) TFT-LCD touchscreen ensures maximum visibility and practicality in all situations. The Ground Control Station is dust and water resistant, and its new antenna design allows the video transmission to reach up to 18.6 miles (30km). With a battery life of up to 4.5 hours, the Ground Control Station can be operated indefinitely with a remote power source. 

    RTK Module

    The Dragonfish is equipped with 2 RTK modules for additional redundancy. By integrating the GNSS Base Station with the RTK modules, the Dragonfish can achieve centimeter accuracy, precise headings and strong anti-magnetic interference capabilities. These modules back up one another and greatly improve the quality of image metadata for photogrammetry and increase flight precision and safety. Autel Robotics' GNSS Base Station provides centimeter accuracy and supports all 4 major satellite systems
